Construction Capability Statement Singapore

Singapore construction team reviewing a capability statement with project drawings and site records

A construction capability statement in Singapore should help a client, consultant or main contractor decide whether the firm belongs in a tender or subcontractor shortlist. It needs exact scope, registrations, resources and comparable work, not a shortened company history.

What belongs in the statement?

Include the business definition, delivery role, work categories, registrations, operating capacity, management systems, key people, projects and a direct tender contact. Date and version the document.

Define role and scope

State whether the firm acts as main contractor, specialist contractor, supplier or consultant. Separate self-performed work from subcontracted scope. List meaningful work packages and the project stages supported.

Broad phrases such as “one-stop construction solutions” prevent early qualification.

Make registrations interpretable

Publish the full scheme or registration name, grade or class, workhead or category, issuing body and validity where applicable. Link to the official verification source when available.

BCA's official Contractors Registration System explains the workhead and registration framework. Keep the capability statement aligned with the current official record.

Our guide to BizSAFE, BCA and ISO prequalification content shows how to provide buyer-ready context rather than an unexplained line of logos.

Describe current capacity

State the people, supervision, plant, systems and geographic coverage relevant to target work. Avoid a fixed capacity claim without conditions. Mobilisation depends on programme, concurrent work and specialist availability.

Give a named role that can assess capacity for a live opportunity.

Use three comparable projects

Choose projects by work package and operating condition. State location, client sector, role, programme, scale, constraint, decision and verified result. Obtain approval for names, values and images.

Explain tender and delivery systems

Summarise safety, quality, environmental, programme, change and handover processes. Link to more detailed pages where the system influences buyer selection.

Keep PDF and website aligned

Use one approved source for facts. The PDF supports forwarding and formal submissions; the website supports discovery and current verification. Archive superseded versions instead of leaving contradictory copies online.

Questions Singapore buyers may ask

How long should the statement be? Keep the core document short enough to scan, then link to project and system detail. Completeness is not the same as length.

Should prices appear? Usually not in a general statement. Commercial terms depend on scope and belong in the appropriate quotation or tender channel.

Who should approve it? Business development can own the document, but operations, safety, finance and leadership should approve the facts they control. Record the approval and next review date.

Creatif Work builds construction websites and capability statements as one evidence system. Through our website service, Singapore contractors can keep registrations, project records and tender messaging consistent across public and downloadable formats.
